Job description

Grade A -£52,737 - £66,197(National Framework) or £58,409- £71,869 (London Framework – if you are Londonoffice based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) There isalso an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those workingfrom home.

Contracted Hours:Full time 37 hours per week or Part time 30 hours per week

Contract Type:Permanent

Imagine leading a community of over 100 analysts to supporttheir development of statistical and quantitative analysis that directly impactthe quality of health and care services.

Asthe Practice Lead: Quantitative Analytics and Statistics in the Data andInsight team, you will develop frameworks for quality assurance inquantitative analytics.

You'll stand up a new community of practice for statistics, championing thisarea across the organisation.

Togetherwith our other practice leads, you will shape our approach to mixedmethods analysis as an organisation.

The role

You’ll play an important part in delivering our mission. Inthis role, you’ll:

Shapebest practices: Develop and embed CQC’s approaches toquantitative analytics and statistics, including descriptive statistics,hypothesis testing, and predictive methods.

Leaddiscussions: Drive conversations around statisticalbest practices and methodologies within the Data & Insight unit andacross CQC.

Championexcellence: Promote a culture of excellence inquantitative analysis and statistics, ensuring high standards andcontinuous improvement.

Upskill:Identifying gaps in our capabilities, supporting our teams with thelearning they need to improve and innovate.

We will be looking for specific skills, knowledge, andexperience in your application form:

Expertisein quantitative methods: Demonstrated experiencein applying a range of quantitative analysis such as hypothesis testing,ANOVA, PCA.

Leadershipin analytics: Proven experience in leading anddeveloping analysts, and managing complex statistical projects.

Technicalproficiency: Extensive experience with Python, R, andSQL, and the ability to upskill a community of practitioners.
