Job description

Quantitative Developer – Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund

London – Hybrid

Contract – c£1100 - £1400 per day

Our client, a rapidly growing multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking an experienced Quantitative Developer with expertise in credit products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team by developing cutting-edge financial tools and analytics.

Duties:
  1. Develop research toolkits for credit products and related analytics.
  2. Design and implement risk and analytics frameworks for financial instruments.
  3. Build and enhance P&L and attribution tools to support trading strategies.
  4. Develop dashboards for visualising performance, risk, and key metrics.
  5. Automate operational processes to improve efficiency across teams.
  6. Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to deliver business solutions.
  7. Write robust, production-level code with a focus on reliability and performance.
  8. Ensure all developed solutions are scalable and maintainable within the tech stack.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience developing financial tools, particularly in credit-related products.
  3. Strong Python skills, with experience using Pandas, NumPy, and Python-Dash.
  4. Knowledge of fixed income risk, P&L attribution analysis, and credit derivatives.
  5. Experience with SQL for querying databases and integrating data sources.
  6. Familiarity with financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE, and LSEG.
  7. Hands-on experience in developing and implementing credit models.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with trading teams.
