Job Title: Quantitative Developer

Location: London

Group Strategic Analytics is part of the Group Chief Operating Office (COO), serving as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to support efficiency, control, and transformation goals.

A Quantitative Strategist (Quant Strat) designs, develops, and implements quantitative strategic models, risk management, and pricing solutions through direct coding (C++; Python) to meet business needs and drive strategy.

In this role, you will leverage your domain knowledge and strong technical coding skills to contribute to strategic initiatives within a business, function, or bank-wide program. You will manage a specific work package, developing and implementing it as part of a broader program. You will work under the guidance of a Principal or Lead Quantitative Strategist, collaborating with the program sponsor, team, and stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
  • End-to-end development and support of products and tools
  • Fund Transfer Pricing processes for Treasury and various businesses
  • Risk Management analytics and reporting tools
  • Implementing regulatory requirements such as Liquidity Ratios and risk in Banking Book
  • Supporting the implementation of quantitative models and analytics
Your skills and experience
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and risk management skills
  • Proficiency in programming, especially C++ and Python
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with complex codebases and business problems
  • Understanding of business and markets; experience in funding or banking is a plus
