Quant Analyst – Power Markets | London Hybrid | £Flexible + Equity

Location: Hybrid in London (2–3 days per week in-office)

I’m hiring for a fast-moving climate tech startup that’s building the next generation of automated energy trading systems. They’re looking for a quantitative analyst to help uncover opportunities in the power markets and shape the trading logic that drives their platform.

This isn’t a traditional utility or desk role. The team combines machine learning with real-time control of devices like EV chargers, home batteries, and heat pumps; shifting energy use to when it’s cleanest and cheapest.

What makes this role interesting:

  • You’ll work hands-on with trading data and market signals to inform strategy
  • Build prototypes, test hypotheses, and help design the systems that control energy in thousands of homes
  • Play a key role in a small, expert team backed by top-tier investors
  • Contribute to decarbonising the grid through practical, high-impact trading

Who this could suit:

  • You have a background in quantitative analysis, trading, or applied maths/stats
  • You're comfortable working with large, complex datasets
  • You’re excited by energy markets and want to apply your skills to the climate problem
  • Bonus if you’ve worked on algorithmic trading systems, or in energy, finance, or renewables

If you’re ready to apply your quant skills to a space with real impact and scale, I’d love to speak with you.
