Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Quantexa Data Engineer (Scala/Spark) to join a major AML/transformation programme in London. You will build scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions supporting global banking operations. The role is hands-on, with a 2-3 days in the office per week pattern via umbrella company.

Key tech: Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, Azure Databricks and Databricks. Financial services experience is beneficial; exposure to Quantexa is desirable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering experience in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in Scala and Apache Spark.
• Experienced with SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• ETL and data pipeline development expertise.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, APIs and modern engineering practices.
• Exposure to Quantexa is desirable.
• Financial services experience beneficial but not essential.

Quantexa Data Engineer (Scala/Spark)

Location: London

Contract Length: Up to 11 months

Working Pattern: 2-3 days in the office per week, via Umbrella Company

Our client is investing in a major Quantexa-led financial crime and AML transformation programme and is looking for a hands-on Quantexa Data Engineer to join the team. This role will play a key part in building scalable data pipelines, cloud-based data solutions and entity resolution capabilities supporting AML outcomes across a global banking environment.

You will work closely with technology, product and business stakeholders, helping to develop and enhance a new Quantexa capability across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities
