Job Opportunity: Quant Team Engineer

A leading technology development firm based in London is seeking a technology enthusiast to join its Quant team. This role involves hands-on technical work within an engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining a high-performance trading and research infrastructure.

Responsibilities include contributing to the design and maintenance of the firm's extensive compute infrastructure, including operating systems, software development tools, high-performance computing, networking, and storage for research and trading. The role also involves engaging in various technology initiatives such as workload scheduling, fleet management, clustered file system design, SDLC, kernel and network performance tuning, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in understanding technology operations. Requirements include a degree in computer science or a related field, at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, proficiency in languages such as Python, Golang, or Rust, and knowledge of Linux systems and networking is advantageous. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
