Job description

As a Quant Researcher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research and analysis of large datasets to identify trading opportunities and market trends in the energy sector.
  • Developing new trading strategies under the guidance of the Digital Trading team to support automated trading infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of trading strategies and making necessary adjustments.
  • Understanding and applying knowledge of market structures.
  • Advising on improvements and finding workarounds related to IT estate and processes.

Qualifications include:

  • A strong understanding of financial markets, especially energy markets.
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling using large datasets.
  • Strong Python skills, with a background in statistics and probability theory.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to C# or other programming languages is a plus.
