A leading global supplier in the food and nutrition sector is seeking a Quality Technologist for their Customer Pillar team in London. This permanent role involves ensuring quality standards, responding to customer queries, and supporting various departmental tasks. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of food quality standards such as HACCP and BRC Food, along with over three years of relevant experience. The position is hybrid, requiring two office days per week.

Quality Technologist - Customer Pillar (Full-time, Permanent)

Hybrid - 2 office days in Central London

What to expect?

• Complete customer questionnaires daily based on regulatory and supplier information available.
• Respond to technical queries from customers & suppliers related to our ingredients, as well as quality and food safety, etc.
• Execute & participate in projects identified by the business for a continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Taking part in the KAM team.
• Support all other Quality department tasks according to workload and priorities, such as:
  • Arranging 3rd party laboratory analyses
  • Updates and reviews of product documentation, including specification, COA, SDS, allergens, GMO, animal feed labels, packaging, HACCP, etc.
  • Reviews of Standard Operating Procedures and other controlled documents
  • Questionnaires and statements for customers
  • Training & presentations
  • 3rd party & Customer’s audit/ visits
    

Does this sound like you?

• Great understanding of Quality (Technical) requirements and standards of the food industry:HACCP, BRC Food or Agents and Brokers, FAMI-QS (animal feed), Organic / BIO, Kosher, Halal, ISO 9001.
• Over 3 years of experience in a Quality, Technical or R&D role in the Food, Ingredients or Supplements industry.
• Some experience in auditing.
• Some experience in resolving non-conformances or complaints.
• IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Especially in Excel.
• Experience working with retail online specification systems is desirable, but not essential (QADEX, Hamilton Grant etc.)

• Food legislation / Food labelling training or understanding is essential.
