Job Title:

Quality Technician (PDI) x 2 - 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Salary:

£27,800 progressing to £29,200 once role triggers are met

Location:

Desford, Leicestershire

Contract:

Full-time & fixed-term (6 months)

The Opportunity:

As a Quality Technician in Pre-Delivery Inspection, you will support efforts to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility.

What You Will Do:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting audits on parts and assembled machines to takt time following inspection standards.
  • Recording defect information accurately via electronic, manual, or visual boards.
  • Communicating defects clearly to relevant teams and supporting personnel as issues arise.
  • Participating in defect investigations and improvement projects.
  • Supporting and training new team members.

Please demonstrate your qualifications and experience relevant to these criteria on your CV, as the panel cannot make assumptions during shortlisting.

What You Can Demonstrate:
  • Experience in auditing processes and Built-in Quality procedures, including defect reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of assembly operations practices and processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to support extra hours if needed.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and a desire to improve build quality.
What You May Have:
  • Previous PDI experience.

First-stage interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 19 May, with on-site face-to-face interviews in the week commencing 26 May.

Note: The criteria for the role may be adjusted based on application volume to facilitate effective shortlisting.
