Quality Technician/Administrator (Etcher)

About the role:

A vacancy has arisen for aQuality Technician/Administrator (Inspector/Etcher) within the Car Build function.

You will be responsible for the efficient Laser marking, inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.

This career operates Monday to Friday on late shift which starts at 14:00 (2pm) and finishes 22:30 (10:30pm).

Key Accountabilities/Duties will include:
  • Using Laser marking machines and associated equipment to clearly mark components and verify adherence to specification.

  • Programming of Laser Marking machines.

  • Strict adherence to drawings, operating procedures and work instructions to ensure zero defects.

  • Verification of marking through visual inspection and data matrix scanning.

  • Timely and accurate recording of parts on computer systems including transfer to Stores.

  • Working within defined Health and Safety guidelines.

Candidate Profile:
  • Use of Rofin laser marking machine.

  • Experience in the use of SAP.

  • Computer literate with a practical approach, have a basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and will be conscientious with a keen eye for detail as marking accuracy is paramount.

  • Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with appropriate supportive team behaviours, and abilities to work with minimal supervision to tight deadlines in a high throughput environment.
