Overview

Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is hiring at our brand new, purpose-built processing facility in Eye, Suffolk. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to start or progress their career in the food industry and work for one of the largest integrated poultry businesses in the UK, playing your part in helping us feed the Nation!

As part of our exciting expansion project we are recruiting for QT maternity cover – fixed term contract. This position is Quality Technologist (QT) or sometimes referred to as PC for our backshift working Monday – Friday 17:10-01:40.

Responsibilities
  • Complete agreed food safety, quality, due diligence and legal checks, on time in full at quality, meeting or exceeding site and customer requirements. These are to include Start up, temperature, X Ray, metal detection and label verification
  • Ensure accurate record keeping in line with required standards demonstrating attention to detail
  • Complying to site standard GMP requirements, including all areas of the factory, warehouse, workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms. Clean as you go to site standards
  • To ensure a timely escalation to the team supervisor of any situations that fall out of the required site or customer standards and ensuring that any corrective actions are recorded and followed through to conclusion
  • To actively participate in site quality and technical initiatives to ensure that the product produced is on time, in full, at quality
  • Assist the QA team, with customer site visits and other third party audits
