Job Title: Quality Technician

Are you passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring product safety? Do you have experience in a similar role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a dynamic and innovative organisation, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in a permanent, full-time capacity.

Role Overview: As a Quality Technician, you will work within a factory environment, supporting the Quality Manager to develop and maintain Product Safety and Quality systems. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance standards on-site.
2. Challenging packaging safety systems and reviewing and updating plans as required.
3. Managing document control and maintaining the Product Safety and Quality Management System.
4. Collaborating with the Quality Manager to implement internal audit programmes.
5. Performing packaging/artwork checks, approvals, and shelf life inspections.
6. Driving quality improvement initiatives in manufacturing and business processes.
7. Reporting issues promptly.
8. Ensuring proper collation and filing of documentation.
9. Conducting daily quality control inspections on production lines.
10. Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming products.
11. Supporting the Quality Manager with additional requests.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyse process data.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage systems.
• Previous experience in a similar role or environment.
• HACCP/HARA certification.

Skills and Attributes:

• Effective communication and presentation skills with customers and suppliers.
• Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of food legislation and BRC Global Standard for packaging.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong self-organisation, motivation, planning, prioritising, and time management skills.
