Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join a specialist manufacturing team, playing a vital role in ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across operations. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, conducting first article inspections, and supporting internal and supplier audits to ISO standards. This is a hands-on role where you'll be directly involved in quality processes, working with suppliers, resolving non-conformances, and contributing to improvements that enhance product performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Quality Technician to take ownership of quality processes and contribute to operational excellence within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and process transactions through ERP systems.
  • Complete first article inspections (FAI) and produce detailed reports.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), liaising internally and with suppliers.
  • Support internal and supplier audits in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Prepare and update departmental quality reports and KPIs.
  • Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You / Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Quality-focused role within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Familiar with mechanical, electro-mechanical, or electronic components.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Good IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience advantageous.
  • A proactive and confident team player with good communication skills.
