Job summary

A market-leading client in Frome is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for managing audits, conducting inspections of raw materials, and supporting investigations into customer complaints. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Food Technology and HACCP Level 2 certification, with experience in a QA/QC role in a food factory. The position offers a salary of £27,000, along with a pension and 25 days holiday.

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our market leading client in Frome who is actively looking to recruit a Quality Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

• Carrying out and managing audits including GMP, Hygiene, Glass & Plastic, CCP
• Support the Quality Assistant Manager with monitoring and investigating customer complaints.
• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials to ensure they meet defined specifications, labelling requirements.
• Raise supplier nonconformance/rejection notifications and follow up to ensure investigations are carried out within requested timeframes.

What you will need to succeed:

• Degree educated or equivalent in Food Technology
• HACCP level 2, internal auditor qualifications
• Ideally, knowledge of customer codes or practice and BRC requirements
• Experience of working in a QA or QC function of a food factory

What you will receive in return:

• GBP27,000 per annum
• Company pension 6% employer contribution (Salary Exchange) ( Subject to contract)
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
• 4 x Death in Service
