Overview

A leading manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support its factory Quality System. This role offers a great opportunity to join a supportive and close-knit team, where you’ll be the dedicated Quality Technician on shift, ensuring high standards of compliance, product quality, and safety.

What You’ll Do as a Quality Assurance Technician
  • Conduct internal audits of quality systems, including product checks, hygiene, 5S, glass, and insect audits.
  • Maintain and supervise quality records and retained samples.
  • Manage quarantined materials, keeping accurate records and communicating with relevant staff.
  • Control positive release processes.
  • Perform material analysis for product development and corrective actions.
  • Inspect and test products, including quarantined and new materials, reporting results to the Quality and Technical Manager.
  • Input non-conformance data into reporting systems.
  • Support quality administration and contribute to cross-functional quality initiatives.
  • Provide cover for holidays, sickness, and weekends as required.
  • Take part in improvement projects, including World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
Shift, Pay & Benefits
  • Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights), 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am) with a 1-hour paid break.
  • Pay: £13.43 per hour.
  • Overtime: 1.5x (standard) / 2.0x (Sundays & Bank Holidays).
  • Bonus: Gainshare up to 5% of earnings every quarter, linked to site KPIs.
  • Free parking and accessible commute from nearby areas.

  • Experience in a quality or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
