Quality Technician

We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for practical work related to Quality Control. Your role will involve testing ingredients and finished products, conducting organoleptic testing, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards, and releasing ingredients and finished products based on confirmed compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and conduct all quality tests following established test methods and procedures.
2. Verify analysis results against specifications.
3. Communicate non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
4. Record and organize all test results and data accessibly.
5. Release finished products and raw materials using the AX system, ensuring proper documentation.
6. Manage retest programs, micro sampling, and liaise with suppliers on non-conformances.
7. Perform internal factory audits and assist in investigating customer complaints.
8. Suggest improvements in equipment, techniques, and evaluations based on daily operations.

Requirements:

1. Understanding of the role of Quality in the food industry.
2. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
4. Experience in the flavour industry (highly desirable).
5. Knowledge of internal IT/LIMS databases (highly desirable).
6. Full training will be provided for knowledge of the food industry and quality roles.
7. Ability to work safely, adhering to safety rules.
8. Strong organizational skills and task prioritization.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
