Job summary

Fluid Water Group in Gloucester is seeking a Quality Technician to join the manufacturing site and support the Quality function across operations. You will investigate non-conformances, drive improvements and ensure products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include NCR handling, root cause analysis, internal audits, and maintaining quality records while liaising with Production, Engineering and Purchasing to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Experience carrying out internal audits.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across different departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues at the same time.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be advantageous.
  • Internal Auditor qualification or experience would be desirable.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate non-conformances and identify root causes with relevant departments.
  • Monitor and follow up corrective actions to ensure they are completed.
  • Manage internal departmental complaints and ensure issues are investigated and resolved.
  • Liaise with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Stores, Projects and other departments on quality-related issues.
  • Carry out internal audits against company procedures and quality requirements.
  • Record audit findings and follow up corrective actions.
  • Carry out inspections and checks to support manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and escalation these to the Quality Manager.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Support day-to-day quality activities across the site.
  • Ensure quality issues are communicated effectively and followed through to resolution.
  • Promote a consistent approach to quality across the manufacturing site.

Employment basis: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are looking for a Quality Technician to join Dutypoint and support the Quality function across our manufacturing site in Gloucester.
