About the Quality Technical Manager job

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager with technical expertise to lead the quality team and provide technical support to ensure that the products and services meet legal compliance and customer expectations.

Key tasks

  1. Quality Leadership and Assurance: Lead the Quality teams, driving positive change through audits, training, and development while maintaining product quality, safety, and compliance with legislation. Ensure compliance with quality standards, implement assurance protocols, and train staff on quality procedures.
  2. Technical Focus and Support: Lead quality control processes, oversee technical aspects, and support the Technical Manager and site teams to achieve technical control, business plan targets, and ensure compliance with company, customer, and legislative requirements.
  3. Quality Management Systems: Oversee Quality Management Systems, ensuring all standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Manage customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure 100% satisfaction.
  4. Customer Relationships: Support customer relationships by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, resolving product and raw material queries, and coordinating audits, NPD processes, and new product launches.

About You

The successful candidate shall have a Degree or equivalent in Food related subject and at least 2 years relevant technical experience, HACCP (Intermediate Level) and an Internal Auditing qualification.

You should be a personable individual with strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication abilities are essential, along with the capability to build rapport and train effectively. Experience in managing retail and food service clients is required, as well as a dynamic approach to driving improvements.

The Quality Technical Manager job (ref:8873) is paying £50,000-£55,000 according to your experience.

The site is in Kent and commutable from Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and surrounding towns.

The package includes Simply Health package, Pension 5% employee, 3% employer.

The working hours are Monday-Friday with flexibility around work times.
