Job summary

Recruit4staff is supporting a leading packaging manufacturer in finding a Quality & Technical Technician for their modern facility in Telford. The role leads Technical & QA activities, including lab testing, R&D, regulatory compliance and supplier management to ensure products meet required standards.

The position offers a salary of £33,000–£40,000, a 36.25-hour week (Mon-Fri) with flexi time, 28 days holiday, pension and a monthly bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Lab/analytical skills required.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance within Packaging.
• Experience of root cause analysis, investigating complaints and implementing corrective actions.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical & QA activities for packaging materials and production processes.
• Perform Lab Testing, R&D, Regulatory Compliance and Supplier Management.
• Provide customer support ensuring products meet required specifications.
• Conduct routine and investigative laboratory analyses to support quality investigations and trials.
• Design and conduct R&D trials to explore new packaging materials and structures.
• Propose material and process improvements and maintain test records.
