Job summary

GEODIS Contract Logistics United Kingdom Ltd is seeking a Quality Team Leader to manage warehouse teams and ensure safe, efficient operations in Coventry. You will supervise activities, train Operators, and coordinate with the Operations Supervisor on shipping schedules and labour needs.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehousing with supervisory experience, GCSEs in Maths/English/Science, and proficiency with warehouse equipment. Apply safety and quality standards daily in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution centre experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (grades A to C)

Responsibilities

• Track employee hours and provide feedback.
• Direct team for one or more accounts in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with Operations Supervisor to determine shipping schedules and labour for rework projects.
• Operate equipment safely following defined work methods and procedures.
• Assist supervisory personnel in overseeing activities in one or more accounts.
• Assist in training Operators.
• Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouses by promoting safety and security of products.
• Assist in performing physical inventories and stock rotation.
• Inform supervisor of unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Conduct site inductions and manage SOP sign off.
• Ensure IT equipment is in good working condition.
• Unload and move inbound freight to storage locations safely.
• Move and load product from staging into trailers.
• Ship, receive, load, unload, move, stack and stage products using forklift or other equipment.
• Participate in rework and repack of product as needed.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring exact number and type loaded.

Applicant's profile

Essential Education and/ or Training

• Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution centre experience
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• GCSE's in Maths, English and Science (grades A to C)

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• 2 to 4 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and write simple instructions, memos, and reports.
• Assist in providing ideas to improve their team's function.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided by written, oral or diagram forms.
• Experience with warehouse equipment
