Job summary

Kinisla is seeking a Quality Systems Technician at our Ossett manufacturing site to maintain QMS compliance and audit readiness while supporting regulatory requirements. You will manage customer complaints, non-conformances and document control, and produce KPI reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food manufacturing, technical, or quality environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and food safety standards.
  • Experience managing customer complaints, supplier non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of specification management, document control and audit support.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and produce KPI reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using SAP, Intelex or similar QMS platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong problem-solving with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the site's Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with customer, retailer, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Manage quality systems activities including customer complaints, supplier non-conformances, specification management and document control.
  • Produce quality reports and coordinate pest control and customer compliance activities.
  • Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Provide administration and support for key business systems including Intelex, SAP and Optiva.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers and suppliers to uphold quality standards.
  • Support audits, product launches, technical projects and quality improvement programmes.
  • Ensure quality documentation, records and system data are accurate and up-to-date.

About the Role

We are currently hiring for a Quality Systems Technician at our Kinisla manufacturing site in Ossett, where we produce Butters, Spreads and Margarines (BSM) for our Dairy Consumer Foods division. This role is essential to maintain quality system compliance, audit readiness, business continuity and effective support of site quality and regulatory requirements.

What will I be doing?
  • Maintain and support the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, retailer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Manage quality systems activities including customer complaints, supplier non-conformances, specification management, and document control.
  • Produce quality reports and coordinate pest control and customer compliance activities.
  • Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Provide administration and support for key business systems, including Intelex, SAP, and Optiva.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to uphold quality standards.
