The Technical Ceramics business engineers high-performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components, and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality processes, methods, and systems to ensure materials meet or exceed customer expectations, complying with ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 standards.
  • Coordinate and lead customer complaints resolution using 8D methodology with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as Delegated Quality Representative (DQR) for Aerospace and other customers.
  • Manage and analyze data related to nonconforming materials and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Lead or participate in audits and process reviews to various standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain supplier standards and ensure compliance.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints, organize investigations, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Promote external quality feedback mechanisms, maintain communication with customers, and work on continuous improvement of service quality.
  • Maintain quality data, analyze trends, and support quality system certifications and audits.
  • Train staff on quality processes, improve quality awareness, and ensure ongoing staff development.
Qualifications

  • BSc in Material Science or Engineering or relevant experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of broad-focused quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS13100 quality management systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma techniques is desirable.
  • Experience in developing and documenting procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
