Job Title: Quality Support Technician – 12m Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £33,800 rising to £37,500 when role objectives are reached

Contract: Full time & fixed term contract (12m)

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

The Opportunity:

As Quality Support Technician within Building Construction Products (BCP), you will oversee and coordinate various quality support activities, including the investigation, documentation, analysis, and resolution of quality issues. You will lead a team of Auditors/Quality Technicians.

What you will do:

As a Quality Support Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and making decisions to address unforeseen quality issues and identify root cause corrective actions.

  • Collect assembly defect data and lead a team to support continuous improvement efforts, developing and updating check sheets for the assembly line and quality groups.

  • Provide oversight during the assembly process to ensure routings conform to work instructions, offering feedback to relevant departments on design and manufacturing issues.

  • Document testing and root cause analysis, and catalogue quality issues into a computer system, flagging defects for repair.

  • Generate quality metrics and report significant issues to management, attending high-level meetings to communicate root causes.

What You Can Demonstrate:

  • Quality Knowledge:Strong background in quality within a manufacturing/production environment.

  • Engineering Drawings:Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

  • Computer Skills:Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

What You May Have:

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Previous use of CMM and Faro Arm
