Connecting and Protecting People, Microwave Products Group (MPG) is a leading global provider of mission-critical engineered electronic components and subsystems comprised of five business units in six manufacturing locations. Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products – engineered components and subsystems – for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • Inspects incoming, in-process, and final components and products for conformance to specifications.
  • Performs visual inspection, mechanical measurements, and selected electrical measurements.
  • Maintains certification as an IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist.
  • Reviews customer purchase order requirements and specifications to ensure company actions and documentation meet those requirements/specifications.
  • Provides feedback to Product Line leadership and personnel regarding non-conforming in-process and final product and documentation.
  • Provides quality support to Product Lines and Manufacturing Support Groups, including input for corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Provides support to Quality Engineers.
  • Evaluates customer returns and provides input to Quality Engineers and Product Line leadership regarding disposition and corrective action.
  • Participates as quality representative on cross-functional teams.
  • Prepares product and documentation for customer pre-cap and final source inspection.
  • Prepares and submits source inspection requests via email or customer portals.
  • Supports source inspection visits and works with source inspectors to resolve issues.
  • Prepares First Article Inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.
  • Participates as an internal auditor.
  • Participates in problem solving activities to support Product Lines and company departments.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
  • Desired: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Desired: A minimum of 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, with focus in mechanical, electrical or other technical disciplines.
  • Required: Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Required: Able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Required: Able to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of personnel in the company.
  • Desired: Working knowledge of Quality systems, procedures, specifications and organization including knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, Lean Principles, Quality Tools.
  • Required: Able to perform daily work assignments with limited supervision, both independently and as a team member.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00
