Job summary

You will back the Project Quality Manager, lead audits, review documentation, track nonconformances and help implement quality management systems, with SharePoint-based reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves working in a hybrid setup with strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control on engineering, procurement and/or construction projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
• Experience supporting or participating in internal, supplier or project audits.
• Ability to review engineering, procurement and construction documentation to identify quality requirements, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and trend reporting.

We are seeking a proactive and driven Quality Specialist to support a major engineering and infrastructure programme within a highly regulated environment.

The Quality Specialist will support the Project Quality Manager (or delegate) as a quality representative for project activities, helping ensure that quality requirements are appropriately defined, communicated, implemented and verified across engineering, procurement, supplier and project delivery processes.

The role will involve supporting and participating in quality audits and assessments, reviewing selected project documentation to confirm inclusion of applicable quality requirements, tracking nonconformances and corrective actions, supporting quality metrics and trend analysis, and assisting with the establishment, maintenance and improvement of quality management systems and project-specific processes.

You will also provide technical specialist support for SharePoint-enabled quality processes, information management and data reporting, while promoting continuous improvement through lessons learned, corrective action processes and quality improvement initiatives.

Working with minimal supervision, you will use sound judgement to identify quality risks, evaluate conformance to established requirements and recommend effective actions. You will support project teams in resolving quality issues by facilitating timely corrective actions, verifying close-out effectiveness and providing guidance on quality processes and documentation expectations.

Work will be performed in accordance with quality programme requirements, applicable regulations and relevant industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation, improvement and implementation of quality procedures and plans, including standardised metrics, trend analysis, lessons learned and best practices.
• Support quality audits and assessments, including preparation of audit checklists, documentation of findings and reporting of results.
• Provide specialist data analysis and reporting support for project quality and information management activities.
• Support SharePoint-based quality processes, information management workflows, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Review engineering, procurement, construction and supplier documentation to verify that applicable quality requirements have been included and correctly flowed down.
• Review documentation, records and deliverables for compliance with specified quality requirements.
• Support the development, maintenance and continual improvement of quality management systems and project-specific processes.
• Participate in the review of functional and supplier procedures and manuals to ensure compliance with quality programme requirements.
• Review selected quality control and inspection documentation to assess suitability and compliance.
• Follow up audit findings, nonconformances and corrective actions to verify adequacy and effectiveness of resolution.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned activities and corrective action processes.
• Monitor quality performance metrics, identify trends and support reporting of quality performance data.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, supplier and stakeholder teams to provide guidance on quality requirements and support resolution of quality-related issues.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrable experience within Quality Assurance or Quality Control on engineering, procurement and/or construction projects.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance principles, including ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
• Experience supporting or participating in internal, supplier or project audits and assessments.
• Ability to review engineering, procurement and construction documentation to identify quality requirements, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Working knowledge of nonconformance management, corrective action processes, root cause analysis and close-out verification activities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and support quality performance reporting.
• Technical capability in SharePoint, data reporting and dashboard development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, infrastructure, engineering or construction is highly desirable.
