Responsibilities

Carbon60 is partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit a Quality & Safety Engineer within the Quality department. Lufthansa Technik is a global leader in maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This permanent position is available due to growth and expansion. The successful candidate will contribute to the Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services Quality and EHS Department by maintaining a robust quality and EHS system compliant with EASA Part 145, FAA CFR, ISO 9110, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) requirements. Role responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and monitoring compliance with LHT and LTLGS regulatory requirements and standards, and implementing procedures across the business.
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on relevant regulations and standards.
  • Performing internal investigations to determine root causes using LHT system Q-star and developing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with the ProX process centre on process development, including Regulation Management as part of the Maintenance Organisation Exposition.
  • Working with the Training Department on employee authorization, rosters, and competence.
  • Maintaining accuracy of documentation within the quality system and using LHT systems where applicable.
  • Training new employees in departmental tasks.
Skills And Experience Required
  • Experience with EASA Part 145 & 21J and FAA CFR 145 requirements.
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System, preferably with an ISO 9001 background.
  • Practical investigation experience in Quality & Safety functions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a landing gear facility or similar MRO.
  • Ability to analyze root causes and create sustainable actions to improve quality.
