Job summary

Arm is offering a 12 month QRE internship in Cambridge, starting June 2027. You will work in the Silicon Quality & Reliability Engineering team to analyse how soft errors affect digital designs, develop Python scripts, and help improve reliability tooling.

Applicants must be enrolled in a higher education degree and plan to return to their course after the internship. A competitive salary of £33,000 is offered, with mentoring and networking opportunities throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Bachelors, Masters or PhD welcome.
• Alternative degrees considered with relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and methodical approach to problems.
• Programming or scripting experience, such as Python.
• Understanding of digital hardware, computer architecture or reliability concepts.
• Confidence with data and ability to explain results clearly.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new engineering domains.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and document a repeatable methodology for analysing effects of soft errors in digital designs.
• Develop reusable Python scripts and AI-assisted workflows to process data, validate analyses and summarise results.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to understand requirements, present findings and improve tools.
• Support other quality and reliability analyses across solution products.
