Job summary

Caterpillar Peterlee is seeking a General Quality Operator to join a modern manufacturing environment. The role involves recording information, inspecting fabrications against checklists, and reporting issues with clear communication to team leads. Training will be provided, with potential for permanent placement with the client.

You will work across three shifts (days, backs, nights) with overtime opportunities and regular bonuses, in a facility known for its use of advanced tech and robotics.

Qualifications

• Must have good attention to detail and be self-motivated.
• Good verbal communication skills to relay information to team leads.
• Safety conscious and able to follow checklists and procedures.
• Ideal candidate has MIG welding knowledge (NVQ Level 1).

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper entry of record information and maintain documentation.
• Highlight issues and report via logging on an iPad.
• Perform general inspection of finished fabrications against a checklist.
• Communicate findings clearly to team leads.
• Work across 3 shifts (days, backs, nights).

Rate: £14.87 (up to £34.02) plus regular overtime and monthly bonuses

Pay Rate and Working Hours:

• 36.5 hours per week
• £14.87 per hour day shift (up to £17.01)
• £17.84 per hour afternoon shift (up to £20.41)
• £20.07 per hour night shift (up to £22.96)
• £22.31 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday (up to £25.52)
• £29.74 per hour overtime Sundays (up to £34.02)

Shifts:

• Days: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00. Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
• Back shift: Monday - Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00. Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
• Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00. Friday, 17:00 - 21:30

About you:
