Job summary

Caterpillar Articulated Trucks in Peterlee is seeking a Fabricator for a 24-month fixed-term contract. You will work on build/welding fixtures to tight tolerances within a modern, quality-focused facility that employs state-of-the-art paint technology and robotics.

Rate up to £39.10 per hour with regular overtime and monthly bonuses. Overtime paid at time and a half Mon-Sat and double time on Sundays; shifts include Day, Back, and Night with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with build/welding fixtures to tight tolerances.
• Ability to follow standard work procedures and maintain safety on the factory floor.
• Willingness to perform manual lifting and work overtime as required.

Role: Fabricator, 24 Months Fixed Term

Rate: Up to £39.10 plus regular overtime and monthly bonuses

With plenty of overtime work available throughout the week and during the weekends, you have the opportunity to maximise your earnings on an overtime rate which is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and double time on a Sunday.

Excellent Pay Rates:

• Day Shift: £19.55 per hour
• Afternoon Shift: £23.46 per hour
• Night Shift: £26.39 per hour
• Overtime 1.5 (Mon-Sat): £29.33 per hour
• Overtime 2 (Sundays): £39.10 per hour

Shifts:

• Days: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00. Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
• Back shift: Monday - Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00. Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
• Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00. Friday, 17:00 - 21:30

About you:

• Experienced with working on build/welding fixtures to tight tolerances
• Have the ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
• Be accustomed to modern practices e.g. following a standard work procedure
• Carry out some manual lifting
• Work with a sense and awareness of safety at all times
• Previous experience
• Relevant NVQ Level 3

Please be aware that PPE is mandatory on the factory floor. This will include ear defenders, overalls and safety boots and will be supplied to you.
