Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Head of Service for practice quality and improvement to drive forward the quality assurance framework across children social care and wider children services.
  • Managing and coordinating quality assurance activity across the directorate and providing specialist support and advice to relevant managers.
  • Undertaking audit and moderation activities and delivering on audit reports such as child journey audits.
  • Supporting the development of improvement plans based on findings from quality assurance activities and ensuring these plans are implemented effectively to lead to improvements.
  • Supporting, developing, and delivering training to ensure managers and senior staff have the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding to undertake quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, focusing on child and family services.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months. If you are on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
