A leading engineering firm in Cumbria is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead their QA/QC team. You will ensure compliance with standards and improve processes while nurturing talent within the team. Due to an internal promotion on the PPP (Programme & Project Partners) consortium, we are seeking an inspirational Senior Quality Manager to lead our fantastic QA/QC team which includes an exceptional team of apprentices and engineers. We also have an opportunity for a Quality Manager on the new smaller framework projects.

You'll ensure we maintain our standards, associated governance, legal requirements and assurance with clients and suppliers. Seeking new ways of improving the way we work, monitoring the performance, management of audits, managing risk based schedule reviews and of course maintaining and developing relationships both internally and across the consortium

You are likely to have really well developed communication skills, exceptional planning and delegation ability and not only that but possess the desire to nurture and develop your team to maintain our outstanding reputation on the PPP project.

Qualifications

You'll have a recognised qualification in an Engineering/Construction discipline and ideally be a member of the CQI.

Required Skills

  • Experience in the application of relevant quality management system standards (ISO 9001)
  • Experienced in investigation to determine root cause, learning, proposed improvements and verification of implementation of preventative measures to prevent recurrence of failure
  • Experienced in implementation of risk-based QA/QC arrangements, oversight and assurance within the supply chain
  • Effective Report Writing and Communication Skills
  • Proven background in a similar role managing QA/QC personnel within an EPC/EPCC environment
