Job summary

STRABAG UK is expanding its Power team to deliver major UK energy infrastructure projects. The role focuses on ensuring Quality Management on site, inspections, audits, and agreement with Contractors' procedures within the Project Quality Plan.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant HNC/HND/degree and CQI membership, with experience in HV/LV transmission systems and Quality Management Systems. The position offers a competitive package and career progression within STRABAG UK.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/Degree qualified or relevant experience in Quality Management
• Experience with High Voltage / Low Voltage transmission & distribution systems
• Experience in Quality Management Systems
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent time management and ability to work in a team
• Member of CQI
• HND / Degree in Engineering desirable

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in developing Inspection Test Plans and Quality Checklists
• Coordinate and carry out regular inspections and audits on site
• Maintain records to ensure compliance with procedures and contract requirements
• Coordinate closure of non-conformities and drive improvements
• Provide QA input to supplier pre-qualification processes
• Review Quality Plans and documents originated by Contractors
• Provide QA support to the project and client as required

Requirements:

• Surveillances of activities supporting the Project Quality Plan and Contractors Quality Plans / Inspection and Test Plans
• Manage and support Project teams in the development of Inspection Test Plans/Quality Checklists
• Work closely with the site engineers to ensure the Quality process is being carried out on site.
• Manage and carry out regular inspections/audits to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Quality Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
• Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
• Coordinate and manage closure of non-conformities or performance improvement actions.
• Provide Quality input into the Supplier pre-qualification process where required.
• Review of documentation such as Quality Plans, including documents originated by Contractors.
• Provide Quality support to the project / Client as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• HNC/HND/Degree qualified or relevant experience in Quality Management
• Relevant experience and qualifications for working with High Voltage / Low Voltage transmission & distribution systems
• Experience in Quality Management Systems
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in standard computer programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent time management skills to ensure that all work is prioritised to meet project requirements
• Team player with ability to coach and mentor others as required
• Member of CQI
• HND / Degree in Engineering Discipline desirable
