This role is ideal for individuals seeking career progression or aiming to join a Big 4 firm. You will oversee the design and operational effectiveness of risk-based controls testing across various service lines, ensuring compliance with external regulatory obligations and demonstrating a robust system of quality management (ISQM1).

You will manage a team of up to three junior staff, communicate progress, and address challenges. You will also identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and process enhancements, critically evaluate control operations, and communicate findings to senior management. Additionally, you will contribute to the ISQM team agenda and support EY's adherence to ISQM standards.

Ideal candidates will have experience leading control testing procedures, strong analytical and communication skills, and a desire to learn and add value. You will work with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, and develop broader organizational experience.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Logical, diligent, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Experience managing teams to deliver control testing plans, including complex controls and detailed reviews
  • Experience designing controls and reporting to senior management
  • Experience testing controls for external audit, internal audit, ISQM, or SOX

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate team deliverables
  • Strong organization, communication, and influencing skills
  • Leadership and coaching abilities for junior team members
  • Data analysis and summarization skills using Microsoft Office tools

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven ability to resolve control design issues independently
  • Experience reviewing controls for mitigation effectiveness and proposing updates
  • Track record of workload management and delivering quality work to senior management
  • Knowledge of ISQM1 requirements is desirable but not essential
  • Professional qualifications in accounting, internal auditing, or risk management are preferred

What we look for:

  • A proactive team player committed to deadlines and quality
