Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join an established and successful food manufacturing organisation based in North Yorkshire. Reporting into the Head of Group Quality and Technical you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality on site. This is a permanent position offering competitive salary and excellent benefits.





As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:



  • Ensuring consistent product quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement throughout operations
  • Ensure the company is fully compliant and has everything in place for all external audits and any customer audits
  • Manage and continuously improve the company’s quality management system (QMS)
  • Establish and maintain an internal audit schedule and ensure all audits are completed in a timely manner
  • Oversee site compliance against the company SOP’s
  • Regular site audits with effective action plans
  • Continuously review quality processes, procedures and capabilities


The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role ideally within a food manufacturing or agricultural/feed environment. Knowledge and experience of HACCP and an understanding of risk-based quality management systems is essential for this role. You should have a proven ability to drive quality standards by successfully driving standards. The role would suit someone with Initiate and drive change and improvement to deliver results



This role offers a salary up to £46,000 depending on experience and great benefits and the business is commutable from Thirsk, Northallerton, York, Pickering, Middlesbrough, and surrounding areas.
