Overview

Quality Manager – Location: Newbury, Berkshire | Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Were seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality function within a growing, high-technology manufacturing facility in Newbury. The company designs and produces high-performance interconnect solutions used in aerospace, defence, renewable energy, and advanced engineering applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role where youll drive quality excellence, ensure compliance to ISO and AS standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Quality team to ensure product and process compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001, ISO45001).
  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement across production and engineering teams.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, manage non-conformances, and close out corrective actions.
  • Support supplier quality management, customer audits, and on-site inspections.
  • Collaborate with all departments to embed a proactive quality culture.
About You
  • Proven experience in Quality Management or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing or engineering environment (electronics or mechanical products preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO and AS standards and auditing processes.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, 8D, PFMEA, SPC, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Experience within aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries (advantageous).
  • As this is an ITAR-governed facility, candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance or currently hold it.
