Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business:

Quality Manager

Main purpose of the job
To be the site representative for all Quality aspects, leading and developing thedepartment in terms of quality and business needs; in conjunction with customerspecific requirements and business objectives in a continuous improvement cycle.

Main missions and results
• Management, development and appraisal of the Quality Department on-site andoff-site (for those based at customers’ sites), developing a team structure tosupport the needs of the business.
• Management and coordination of day to day quality concerns at the customer,supplier and on site throughout all areas of supply and production.
• Communication and reporting (on a dotted line basis) to Corporate QualityManagement UK / Europe in order to develop uniform methods and practices
throughout all locations.
• Development and implementation of the site Quality Management System in theframework of GDS, Customer Specific Requirements and IATF 16949.
• Responsibility for coordinating all site audits; IATF, CCC and others as required.
• Management and development of customer relations, regular communication,good sound meeting cadence. Proactive activity on all perceived quality and
systemic issues.
• Ensuring all corporate business tools are utilised to monitor and improveperformance in parallel with customer reporting systems, where applicable.
• Management of quality metrics through corporate reporting systems and otherinternal systems related to quality.
• To regularly review and check customer quality portals to establish whether anyquality scores affect the site and whether they can be challenged.
• Promote and drive problem solving within the site, utilising proven methodologiesto implement, verify and validate permanent solutions to known concerns anddrive improvement with new products through lessons learnt.
• Ensure that all relevant internal audits are performed, and results reported andacted upon, leading to operational excellence.
• Reporting quality related KPI’s on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Providing PPAP support to the Technical department.
• Develop and maintain a succession plan for all roles within the department.

Budgetary responsibilities
• Full budgetary responsibility for the Quality Department budget – includingmanning, quality related equipment and service contracts.

• Quality Engineers (both on site and customer based)
• Quality Systems Engineer
• Measurement team
• Trackside Representatives
• Quality Coordinators (shift based)
• Quality Gate Operators (shift based)

Preferred skills and experience

Essential:

•Educated to a minimum of O Level / GCSE grade “B”.

•Fluent English language Experience.

•Proven managerial experience in a Quality role, ideally within an automotive environment, otherwise experience in a challenging FMCG environment.

•Influencing and persuasive style.

•“Can Do” attitude with propensity to problem solve.

•Excellent motivator, self-starting with an enthusiastic approach.

•Computer literate with Microsoft packages.

•Excellent communication skills at all levels and has an ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders.

•Excellent presentation skills.

Preferred:

•Member of Chartered Quality Institute.

•Engineering degree in a technicaldiscipline with demonstrable workingexperience within a similar role.

Working hours are 37.5 per week on days, with an early finish on Fridays. Training will be given to the right candidate with the opportunity to join an expanding site within our organisation. Please note that this position would require the successful candidate to be 5 on site in the office days a week.
