Job description

Quality Manager – FTC Milton Keynes | £65,000 per annum | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | 12-month Fixed-Term Contract

Are you a proven Quality Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement in food manufacturing? We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front—setting the bar for quality, food safety, and compliance, while mentoring a high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As Quality Manager, you’ll report into the Site Manager and Group Quality Manager. You’ll lead a dedicated quality team (1 Team Leader & 5 Officers on a 3-on/3-off shift pattern) and act as the driving force behind all quality, food safety, and microbiology standards at the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and develop the site’s quality team, embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
  2. Ensure full compliance with Quality, Food Safety, GMP, Environmental, and legislative requirements.
  3. Conduct microbiological investigations and troubleshooting with R&D and site teams.
  4. Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions.
  5. Own the HACCP plan and lead the site HACCP team.
  6. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
  7. Champion quality training, toolbox talks, and site-wide engagement.
  8. Support NPD and product launch activities.
  9. Report on site performance and KPIs, and chair Quality Committee meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience as a Quality Manager within FMCG (ideally food/drinks).
  2. Strong leadership skills – confident in coaching, mentoring, and influencing across all levels.
  3. Confident with authority but empathetic and relationship-driven.
  4. Solid understanding of BRC and HACCP standards (Level 3 or above).
  5. Skilled in managing audits, investigations, and quality reporting.
  6. Proactive, driven and keen to lead change and raise standards.
Why Join?
  1. 28 days holiday + flexible holiday trading
  2. Life assurance & pension
  3. Staff discounts, free products during working hours
  4. Healthcare cash plan, Peppy Health access
  5. Ongoing professional development
  6. Flexible benefits (e.g. gym memberships, tech discounts)
  7. Annual salary review

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a fast-paced and values-driven manufacturing environment, working closely with senior leaders and group quality professionals.
