The role

Overall responsibility for quality assurance and control activities across the business region. To support the business leadership to drive best practice in quality assurance, engendering a ‘quality’ culture through all departments. To provide support to the project teams to ensure the operational business unit complies with Group quality assurance standards and processes.

  • Manage the quality management process of the division to ensure digital construction processes are implemented and managed.
  • Liaise closely with senior managers of the production team to ensure compliance with the Berkeley Group quality assurance standards.
  • Develop and implement new quality processes where applicable.
  • Support in tenders and pre-qualification processes and provide guidance on quality risks and best practice.
  • Oversee the development and execution of project quality control plans.
  • Manage Quality aspects of project mobilisation from Building Safety Gateway 1 sign off to ensure effective translation of quality requirements within the projects.
  • Manage division’s audit programme to ensure effective internal and external compliance checks. Carryout internal and supply chain audits/ high risk reviews on key activities of the project.
  • The role will require interaction with contractors and participation in supply chain.
  • Ensure correct and timely KPI reporting.
  • Facilitate Division’s Quality Leadership meeting.
  • Champion a risk preventative culture and promote continuous improvement at all levels.
  • Drive necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals. Promote the company values in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Carryout competency and performance evaluations for team members as applicable.
  • Develop and roll out internal quality training programme for the relevant departments.

Experience required

  • Educated to a degree-level / Level 6 in a relevant area of study (desirable- construction management/ or engineering).
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Experience working with quality systems.
  • Strong IT and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at a variety of levels throughout the Business.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional levels of quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and uses own initiative to find solutions.

The standard default full-time working hours in the office are 8am-5pm with core working hours 9am-4pm. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required onsite 5 days.
