Job summary

A recruitment agency in Kingsteignton seeks a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Base pay range

Job Title: Quality Manager

This position oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), leads continuous improvement efforts, and supports company growth through strategic quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the current ISO 9001-certified QMS and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and all relevant industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess future personnel needs within the quality team to support business growth.
  • Provide training and mentorship on quality standards, tools, and practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodologies.
  • Analyse quality metrics to monitor trends and drive decision-making.
  • Respond promptly to customer quality concerns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to maintain high standards for incoming materials.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, corrective actions, and compliance activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience managing quality systems and compliance within a small-to-medium-sized enterprise (SME) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and API standards.
