Quality Manager


Knaresborough



Global Automotive Manufacturer seek a proactive Quality Manager to lead and manage standards, resolving manufacturing and quality issues with a strong understanding of core quality tools and a focus on continuous improvement.



The role:



  • Pro-actively manage and organise the quality department of 5 to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure the implementation and respect of quality policies and the quality management system according to IATF 16949, ISO 900.

  • Prepare and present quality management reviews.

  • Contribute to project activities to achieve RFQ commitments for quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Define budget for the quality department monthly Review and compliance.

  • Ensure the Performance Improvement Plan for the processes of the plant are correctly done and on time

  • Represent the customer in the plant ensuring their specific requirements are met, problems are dealt with effectively and corrective actions implemented.

  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements from the industrialisation phases

  • Contribute to the process efficiency and plant performance, support processes to build a performance improvement plan in compliance with quality standards

  • Support manufacturing process performance improvement.

  • Participate in project activities D/PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA and Audits.

  • Ensure quality tools and manufacturing quality basics of RQC & 8D.



The Person:



  • An experienced Quality professional with a background in the automotive industry

  • Excellent communication, organisational, motivational skills with the ability to delegate effectively

  • Proven background in managing and implementing effective change and improvements

  • Able to work under pressure

  • Confident understanding of Automotive core tools

  • Automotive auditing experience, fully conversant ISO9001and ideally IATF16949

  • Energetic and strong influencer able to implement improvement at all levels

  • A great problem solver able to work collaboratively with the operations team to solve customer issues quickly and efficiently

  • We are happy to consider candidates who have worked in the automotive industry who are looking for a step up into a management position or a sideways move into a different area
