Quality Manager
Knaresborough
Global Automotive Manufacturer seek a proactive Quality Manager to lead and manage standards, resolving manufacturing and quality issues with a strong understanding of core quality tools and a focus on continuous improvement.
The role:
- Pro-actively manage and organise the quality department of 5 to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the implementation and respect of quality policies and the quality management system according to IATF 16949, ISO 900.
- Prepare and present quality management reviews.
- Contribute to project activities to achieve RFQ commitments for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Define budget for the quality department monthly Review and compliance.
- Ensure the Performance Improvement Plan for the processes of the plant are correctly done and on time
- Represent the customer in the plant ensuring their specific requirements are met, problems are dealt with effectively and corrective actions implemented.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements from the industrialisation phases
- Contribute to the process efficiency and plant performance, support processes to build a performance improvement plan in compliance with quality standards
- Support manufacturing process performance improvement.
- Participate in project activities D/PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA and Audits.
- Ensure quality tools and manufacturing quality basics of RQC & 8D.
The Person:
- An experienced Quality professional with a background in the automotive industry
- Excellent communication, organisational, motivational skills with the ability to delegate effectively
- Proven background in managing and implementing effective change and improvements
- Able to work under pressure
- Confident understanding of Automotive core tools
- Automotive auditing experience, fully conversant ISO9001and ideally IATF16949
- Energetic and strong influencer able to implement improvement at all levels
- A great problem solver able to work collaboratively with the operations team to solve customer issues quickly and efficiently
