Job summary

A leading poultry producer in Enniskillen is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance processes. The successful candidate will manage food safety standards and engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal applicants have at least 3 years experience in food production, with knowledge of BRC standards, and excellent attention to detail. This role offers a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food production operation.
  • Competence in managing a documented quality system to BRC Grade AA standard.
  • Experience in raw meat/poultry/high risk environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations in the Quality Assurance function.
  • Oversee checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and Quality Culture Development.

Our value added poultry facility in Lisnaskea, is hiring a Quality Managerto join our well-established Quality Team.

Quality Manager

Contractual Hours: Day Shift: Monday to Friday 08.00 am to 16.45 pm

Reporting to the General Manager, the right candidate will be responsible for the production site's compliance to quality and regulatory procedures. A fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to drive and implement real change within a fast-growing business.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage the daily operation in the Quality Assurance function to maintain food safety standards
  • Proactively engage in continuous improvement and Quality Culture Development, promote best industry practice
  • Oversee checks to ensure quality standards. Customer, BRC and other 3rd party requirements are met
  • To monitor raw material compliance and evaluate finished products
  • To ensure processing specification and Standard Operating procedures are followed
  • To undertake other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the effective delivery and development of the service.
  • To liaise with the Technical Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve food safety management system

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Computer Literate
  • Knowledge of Retailer Platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food production operation
  • Be able to demonstrate competence and improvement of a documented quality system to BRC Grade AA standard
  • Raw meat/poultry/high risk experience highly desirable
  • Good problem-solving skills
