Quality Manager

Coventry

8:30-17:00 Monday- Friday (40hrs)

£45,000 - £50,000 Depending on experience

The Company:

A leading engineering company based in Coventry that manufactures precision components for customers around the world.

Quality Manager Position:

You will efficiently and effectively manage the inspection areas and activities throughout your area, ensuring all company targets are met and quality procedures are to customers' specifications and satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. The control of the Inspection department including management of a small team of inspectors.
  2. Resolution of any technical problems.
  3. All quality control databases to be monitored and maintained.
  4. Timely and effective resolution of any quality issues and that all outcomes of any investigations are communicated correctly.
  5. That any NCRs are communicated to the stakeholder at the earliest possible opportunity, and work with the stakeholder to resolve.
  6. To maintain the calibration systems, raising any issues to the Senior Quality Manager.
  7. Manage the link into/out of the company for any purchased goods correctly.
  8. Effectively communicate with the stores team.
  9. Identifying overproduced jobs and ensuring the placement of parts into the stock system in conjunction with the stores team.
  10. That CMM programs are secured correctly.

The Candidate:

  • Experienced Quality Inspector with a minimum of 5 years experience managing a team of inspectors in the precision component environment.
  • Understand the use of verniers, calipers, gauges, and MIC bores.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships throughout the business.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to working to benefit the business.
