Qualifications

  • Familiar with industry quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and NCR resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain key certifications.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances.
  • Manage and develop the Quality team through training and appraisals.

Skills

Strong auditing skills

Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:30 Friday 08:30 – 15:00.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company who are looking for a strong leader to manage their Quality function and ensure excellence across compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement. Our client is known for delivering high quality components to a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Nuclear and Defence. You’ll join a supportive team environment where your expertise will directly impact safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

As the Quality Manager you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full QMS, maintaining key industry certifications, and leading a skilled team to uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain certifications (AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP, R-R SABRe/GS3001).

  • Lead internal & external audits, ensuring timely closeout of non-conformances.

  • Manage and develop the Quality team, including training and appraisals.

  • Implement and improve robust quality control procedures across manufacturing.

  • Resolve customer complaints and investigate root causes using quality tools.

  • Align KPIs with QMS requirements and produce regular performance reports.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Background in precision engineering, ideally in Aerospace/Defence/Nuclear.

  • Familiar with AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP.

  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection.

  • Strong auditing skills, internal auditor qualified.

  • Able to read technical drawings and understand First Principle measurement.

  • Experience with Quality Tools and NCR resolution.

  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma.

  • Understanding of NDT techniques.
