Position: Quality Manager

Salary: £64,050 + car allowance

Hours of work:40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Days of work will predominately be Monday to Friday, however, there may be a requirement to flex to an alternative working pattern during peak periods.

Location: Flexible, with regular travel to our milling sites across the UK.

2Agriculture are offering an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to lead feed safety and quality across the company. It is a fantastic time to join 2Agriculture and play a key role in realising our ambitious growth plans.

Role Overview: To be the company lead for feed safety and quality, ensuring our Milling facilities are maintained to UFAS standards at all times. Ensure that 2Agriculture’s quality control team and procedures deliver and develop in line customer and industry requirements to ensure all feed produced is to the expected standard.

Key Responsibilities:

·Ensure product quality, mill standards and compliance are maintained to UFAS and retailer requirements

·Be 2Agriculture’s point of contact with UFAS, VMD, Trading Standards and all other relevant bodies

·Ensure high level of quality control is exercised throughout our supply chain, Ensure feed safety is monitored and adhered to at all plants.

·Responsibility to ensure that feed is made and handled in a way that all Food safety standards and requirements are adhered to, maintaining standards of good practice to minimise any food safety risk within our supply chain

·Ensure compliance with feed additive regulations.

·Ensure all our raw material suppliers are approved and monitored, setting up minimum services levels with all suppliers. Complete all required audit with our suppliers

·Monitor and review all hygiene results and log in Trackers for audits.

·Support commercial teams with complaints investigation.

·Investigate and resolve all feed quality queries.

·Conduct internal auditing, track performance and monitor compliance to ensure audit ready at all times, continually driving up standards.

·Ad hoc duties as required.

Person Specification

Education & Knowledge

·IT literate – understanding of relevant software

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·An in-depth understanding of HACCP and qualification

·Familiarity with analysing data and writing reports

·Capability to communicate ideas

·High level of knowledge and understanding of animal feed legislation, UFAS and FEMAS standards.

·Desire to continually seek innovation and knowledge of advances in technology and science.

·Milling, Extrusion & Pellet manufacturing experience desired

·Leadership/management training desired
