Role Overview for the Quality Manager:

As a Quality Manager, you will provide leadership and management across both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions at our site. This pivotal role will involve the planning and coordination of activities to meet product release schedules, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer service, and safety compliance are achieved. You will manage a team, set operational targets, and ensure that site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager:

  1. Lead forward planning and manage resource requirements for both QA and QC departments.
  2. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure that the team is adequately staffed with qualified professionals.
  3. Gather, analyse, and report on quality metrics at both site and business levels.
  4. Champion key quality systems on-site, including Change Control, Validation, and Cleaning Validation processes.
  5. Lead and participate in regulatory and customer audits.
  6. Provide expert guidance and support on Quality and cGMP issues to cross-functional departments.
  7. Investigate and resolve incidents, Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Tolerance (OOT) results, ensuring that root cause analysis is conducted, and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) are implemented.
  8. Foster effective communication and collaboration within QA and QC teams.
  9. Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA and QC processes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience of the Quality Manager:

  1. In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential.
  2. Proven experience in both Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions.
  3. Previous managerial experience in a quality-focused role within Raw Materials manufacturing.
