The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual who will be responsible for leading and maintaining the Healthcare Quality Management System (QMS) at the clinics and satellites, and implementing the system to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of the service provided in accordance with the conditions of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA). These conditions must also comply with the guidance on good practice as set out in the HFEA’s Code of Practice and all relevant clinical and laboratory directives. The role includes responsibility for management of all incidents, non-conformances and complaints, user satisfaction reviews, internal and external auditing, monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement. As well as management of Quality for TFP Boston Place you will also be a member of the wider TFP quality team working on Group level projects and initiatives.

This is a full time position 37.5 hours per week

Location: Belfast Fertility was established in 2013 and is Northern Ireland’s longest standing private IVF clinic. Due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, Belfast Fertility has grown and now performs approximately 500 fresh cycles and 400 frozen cycles per year. We offer a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT. Conveniently located in a business park setting on the outskirts of Belfast, adjacent to J1 of the M2, there is ample free parking for staff & patients at the front of the building. Our state-of-the-art laboratory was purpose built in 2013 and is equipped with the latest equipment and monitoring systems that support us in achieving excellent outcome KPI’s. Belfast Fertility was awarded Northern Irelands Fertility Clinic of the Year 2022 at the prestigious GHP Healthcare and Pharma awards and has a 5/5 inspection rating from the HFEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing and managing quality, risk and governance strategies within the clinic and its satellites
• Maintaining the HFEA licence
• Developing and monitoring the quality policy, quality objectives and quality indicators
• Internal and external auditing, user satisfaction and complaints management
• Incident management: investigation, corrective and preventative actions
• Training, communicating, monitoring and motivating all staff to support the QMS

Qualifications and Training

• Degree or equivalent post graduate diploma and/or experience
• Recognised management qualification and/or healthcare experience
• Using and managing Quality Management Systems and Risk Management processes and practice, including risk assessment and incident investigation
• Conducting and preparing for audit
• Experience in using QMS software
• Document control experience
• Proven competency in managing complaints
• Background in developing policies and procedures
• Skilled in project management
• Experience of working within a complex organisational environment

Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hours per week

Salary: Competitive (Experience dependent)
