About the opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Management function and ensure the highest standards of compliance across all aspects of our operations. This is a key leadership role focused on maintaining our Quality Management System, managing audits, and fostering a quality-first culture throughout the organisation.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, production teams, and customers to maintain our reputation for exceptional quality and reliability.

Main Duties:
  • Quality Leadership: Lead and develop the Quality team, ensuring effective delivery of all quality-related activities.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Maintain and improve our Integrated Management System (IMS); manage external and internal audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 14001, NADCAP and customer-specific requirements.
  • Customer & Supplier Quality: Act as the primary point of contact for quality issues with customers and suppliers; oversee supplier quality assurance processes.
  • Training & Culture: Promote a quality-first mindset across the company through coaching, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor key quality metrics, identify trends, and provide clear reports to senior management.
  • Documentation & Standards: Ensure all quality documentation, procedures, and records are accurate and accessible.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support the Quality team to build a high-performing and engaged function.
Key Requirements:

Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or substantial industry experience). Recognised quality certifications (e.g., Lead Auditor ISO 9001/AS9100) desirable.

Experience: Extensive experience in a Quality Management or Senior Quality Engineering role within aerospace, defence, or high-precision manufacturing. Proven record of implementing and maintaining ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent quality systems. Experienced in leading audits and working with external certification bodies and customers.

Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical and organisational skills. Ability to foster a culture of accountability and teamwork. Confident in managing change and influencing cross-functional teams.
