About the Role:

We are looking for a meticulous and motivatedQuality Lab Technicianto join our client's Quality Assurance team within a dynamic food packaging environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials and processes meet stringent quality and safety standards, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality packaging solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing and inspection of packaging materials (e.g., films, containers, labels) for compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and visual quality checks on incoming materials and finished packaging products.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and report any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems such as ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging, and HACCP.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used in accordance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a quality or laboratory role within the packaging or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory standards in food packaging.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office.
