Our client is seeking a QUALITY LAB TECHNICIAN to join them on a temporary ongoing basis. For the right candidate, this could lead to a permanent role at the client’s discretion. You will ensure a high level of technical integrity concerning product safety, legality, integrity, and quality in accordance with the quality plan, legislative requirements, company expectations, QMS, and third-party accreditation. You will carry out daily activities vital to the Quality Assurance Department, support other departments, and contribute to the strategic development of the company and the promotion of a Quality Culture.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Sampling goods in, density, and moisture analysis
• Blend build checks and approval
• Set up tea tasting products and equipment in the QA Laboratory for Clipper employees, visitors, and customers as required
• Commission samples for external laboratory analysis following the raw material laboratory sampling procedure
• Assess test and material requirements
• Manage submission forms, lab sampling tables, and sample labels
• Physically prepare samples
• Record lab test results into SAP
• Assist in new product development as directed
• Taste and approve flavor granules

Candidate Requirements

• Previous relevant experience outlined in CV
• Good knowledge of production and warehouse procedures
• Experience with Company QMS and Organic Standards
• Ability to make considered and appropriate decisions
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate with National Insurance)
