Job summary

PSM Recruitment is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that components produced are of the best quality and correct to customer specifications. You must be prepared to move around the company's three quality areas to build up an all-round knowledge of QC procedures for this position.

The role includes reading engineering drawings, using a range of precision measuring equipment, recording non-conformances, and assisting with calibration of company equipment while prioritising health & safety in

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and interpreting tolerances.
• Skilled with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Experience calibrating instruments and gauges.
• Solid maths understanding relevant to QC and inspection.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive quality thinking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Move between three quality areas to gain full QC exposure.
• Verify dimensions and inspect first articles as needed.
• Record non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions.
• Assist calibration of equipment and maintain instrument calibration records.
• Support health & safety and cleanliness in inspection areas.
• Participate in daily tier meetings and assist customers if required.
